Maker Faire March 2017 student permission form.pdf

Dear Parents,

Calling all Makers! We invite all Engineers, Inventors, Scientists and Tech Enthusiasts to join the Maker movement.  We will be hosting our 2nd Annual Maker Faire on Thursday April 6, 2017 for all students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. A Maker Faire is a celebration of inventions, creativity and resourcefulness. It’s a place to show what we have created and share what we have learned with others.

Students in Grade 2,3,4,5 will present individual projects.  Each student in Grade 2,3,4,5 will need a presentation board to display their work.  Kindergarten and First grade classes will work with their classroom teacher for a class presentation.  Each Kindergarten and First Grade class is issued a presentation board to display their work.

Presentation boards will be sold by the PTA for $5.00.  Projects may be presented on an iPad if you have access to one in lieu of a presentation board.

Projects must be brought to school by Monday April 3, 2017.

Families are invited to attend the PS 176 Maker Faire on Thursday April 6, 2017.  All Makers will be presenting their projects at the fair.

Please examine the back of this notice to see a list of possible categories and presentation board setup.

Sincerely,
